final blog: quotes

so for today I sent quotes about the various places that i was also in charge of writing about and taking pictures of as well. The quotes were pretty simple. They were just to state how nice the place was or was was unique about it taht made it good for the average teenager in Indianapolis. And with this, our project should be complete by the end of the period.

Lost count of days

Today I didn't do anything for the project because I am done with my part for it. I asked Sarah, our Editor in Chief, and she said that there was nothing left to do as of this moment. So I am just sitting back and relaxing, waiting for a new assignment. Since I have completed all the stories, and taken pictures along with it.

Day 8: more photos

Today I finished taking photos of monon park and five seasons. Until I get more assignments, this is all I have to do. So I am finished until I get something else to do from my editor in chief.

Day 7: Photos

So for today, I took some photos at the Monon park for our magazine, and that was about it. I didn't do anything for the class today. I finished all my work up to this point and the only thing left for me to do is go to five season for more pictures hopefully over the weekend.

Day 6: completion

So as of 8:50 today, everything that I have been assigned to do up to this point has been completed. My stories have been written and photos taken. All that I really have left to do now is what for more assignments to come my way. After driving to many points in the city for photos, I have gotten those done. And during the first 35 minutes of the day, I have as far as I know, completed all the writing I had assigned for me to do. Now all I can do is sit back, relax, and wait to see if there is anything else that I need to do.

Day 5: writing

Sorry for the late entry, but when I came back to write my blog Amelia was already using my computer and this was the next free time I had to do this. Anyways, today I worked hard on writing the stories for my group. So far, I have completed all but one of my stories and I should have that done by the end of tomorrow, if everything goes as planned. Along with that, I also plan to head to Yatz later today for pictures and info for my story. And later this week head to the Castleton Mall for more pics as well as Monon park.

Day 4: More Due Dates

Today, we finalized our due dates for the magazine. Apparently, I'm suppose to have all my stories done by next Thursday the 15th. This may be kind of hard because I am assigned to go to spots that are hard to reach when I'm in school, but I think I'll manage. After all, the most I have to do is get info on the specific places and take a few pictures for the magazine. Then I just have to sit down and write about my thoughts on what was good and not so good about the place I visited. So I think it'll probably all work out and I'll be able to complete my part for the magazine by the 15th of May.

Day 3: Deadlines

Today our group set up deadlines for all the different things we have to do to get our magazine completely done. I expect to have visited all the areas that I have been decided to cover visited and photographed by the 12 or 13 and be able to have them ready to be put on the spreads by those days. For the stories, it will probably depend on the time i get the information on the places, but I would like to get them completed and turned in for the spreads by at least the 19th if not sooner. That's what all was decided today.

Day 2: Job Coordinating

Today in Publication my group assigned me to be a writer for the stories that we are going to do. I'm happy that I'm not doing the editing or the layout design since that is something I don't want to do. Because of my job, I've been assigned to write the stories for many of the places we are going to review, as well as also taking a few pictures whenever possible. After splitting up the work, we are going to have to do individual work like getting photos and information on certain places in order to bring our project closer to a conclusion. Tonight I plan on going to my first place to gather information and get a few pictures. I plan on going to Yats for dinner to properly review the restaurant.

So today the publication class has created blogs for a checkup point and now I'm just making a post to take up space and make it look like I actually to something with this blog

Day 1: Assignments

This was accidentally put into another blog.

Today we decided on the subject for what the group project is going to be. We've decided that we are going to do a small magazine about the best parks, restaurants, hangout spots, and gyms in Indy. We've decided on a few but we still definitely have a ways to go. Tomorrow are job assignments and as it stands right now, I'd have to say that I would rather do either writing or photography. The main reason for this is that I really don't want to do any editing for other peoples pieces since that is neither my interest or do I really want to do anything with designing the layout.
